Iced Matcha Lemonade
A few quick notes-- I normally try to use high-quality ceremonial matcha, but for this recipe, it's not quite as necessary. All the sugar and lemon covers the slightly mossy taste of lower quality matcha. I use this one off of amazon for baking and flavored drinks like this-- https://amzn.to/3oVnwhg
Ingredients
1 tsp Matcha powder
1 heaping tsp cane sugar
Juice of half a lemon (1-2 tbs depending on your preference)
6 oz of water
Directions
Add the sugar and match to a bowl
Boil the water then let it cool for a minute until it stops bubbling, then add about 6oz to the bowl
Use a whisk (preferably bamboo) to thoroughly combine the ingredients until completely disolved
Squeeze the lemon and remove all seeds then add the juice to the bowl.
Add plenty of ice to a glass and an optional lemon slice. Then pour the contents of the bowl over the ice.
Enjoy!
